Costa Cruises
Costa Cruises, an Italian company, is the world's largest Europe-based cruise line. They offer a vast selection of cruises, particularly in Europe. In fact, Costa is one of the few cruise lines offering year-round cruises in Europe. All of the Costa vessels fly the Italian flag and sail each year to 250 destinations in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Baltic Sea, the Caribbean, South America, the United Arab Emirates, the Far East and the Indian Ocean.
American Discount Cruises & Travel is proud to offer huge discounts on all Costa cruises booked with us. Backed by our "Low Price Guarantee," and powered by our team of expert travel agents, we're sure to exceed your expectations when booking your next Costa cruise!
Why Choose Costa Cruises?
Cruising Italian Style
"Cruising Italian Style…That's Amore" is the motto of Costa Cruises, as they take great pride in their Italian heritage. As such, while on a Costa cruise you'll experience many aspects of Italian culture, such as Italian-inspired designs throughout their ships, Roman toga parties and fresh-made pizza.
Health and Beauty Done Right
The newer Costa vessels, particularly their Concordia Class (Costa Serena, Costa Pacifica, and Costa Favolosa) and Luminosa Class (Costa Luminosa and Costa Deliziosa) ships feature fabulous spa amenities and accommodations. In fact, Costa's two-floor 20,000+-square foot Samsara Spa, available on such ships, offers a wonderful range of treatments. The spa accommodations, called Samsara cabins and suites, available on these ships are staterooms whose guests benefit from special spa access and amenities. Among the special amenities for such guests are access to a spa restaurant (named the Samsara Restaurant, featuring health-conscious cuisine), unlimited access to the Samsara Spa and Thalassotherapy pool, as well as a Welcome Ritual consisting of a selection of regenerating treatments.
Family-Friendly Pricing
We're often able to offer special pricing for families with children that book a Costa cruise with us. On select sailings, two children (ages 17 and under, traveling with at least two full fare paying adults) can travel at a heavily reduced (sometimes FREE) cruise rate. Contact us to see if such promotions are currently available. Available for residents of the U.S. & Canada only.
What's New for Costa Cruises?
From late October 2011 through late January 2012, Costa Romantica will undergo an extensive $128 million renovation, during which the ship will be renamed Costa neoRomantica. Among the enhancements to the ship will be the addition of two new half-decks, including 111 new staterooms. Spa staterooms and suites will now be offered aboard this vessel, and there will be a 4,200-square-meter Samsara Spa on board. A wine and cheese bar, a nightclub, a new specialty club restaurant, and a spa restaurant will also be added to Costa neoRomantica.
Costa's beautiful fleet of cruise ships is in the middle of a drastic youth movement, with brand new ships debuting every year for them. In July of 2011, Costa Favolosa, a 114,500-ton "Concordia" class vessel, joined the Costa fleet. A sister ship, Costa Fascinosa, is expected to debut during the Spring of 2012. By the end of 2012, the Costa fleet will be 17 strong, with a total guest capacity of approximately 46,400.
New for 2009 in Costa's fleet was Costa Pacifica and Costa Luminosa. Costa Deliziosa, a sister ship of Costa Luminosa, debuted during the spring of 2010. This 92,600-ton vessel features 1,130 staterooms, a huge Samsara Spa, four restaurants (including two optional specialty restaurants), a 4D Cinema, a Grand Prix Simulator, and much more!
Costa won two awards in the 2010 edition of the Porthole Cruise Magazine Readers' Choice Awards, "Best Mediterranean Itineraries" and " Best Africa/Middle East Itineraries." This was the third consecutive year that Costa Cruises received such recognitions. During 2010 Costa, the first cruise line to offer year-round Mediterranean cruises, had over 350 Mediterranean cruises offered on 12 of their cruise ships. Costa was the first cruise line to offer regular itineraries in the Middle East, with 7-night cruises from Dubai. |
