National Geographic Orion was specifically designed to travel to the furthest corners of the world completely independent of any support system. This allows guests onboard the unique opportunity to explore parts of the world rarely seen by mankind. All of this happens while guests have place to return to for a hot meal and relaxing accommodations to recharge batteries for tomorrow's adventures.
National Geographic Orion comes complete with 10 Zodiacs, small watercraft, that are able to quickly transport all 102 guests ashore. In addition to guests, National Geographic Orion carries multiple experts in a variety of fields. These experts will provide lectures, hands-on learning experiences, and even informal Q & A's to help guests get the most out of their experience. Expert divers are onboard and use professional camera equipment to give guests a glimpse at what lies beneath the surface of the sea.
Despite being in such remote locales, guests onboard National Geographic Orion will receive some of the best food available. All of this food is sourced from sustainable areas which ensures that the environmental impact of every cruise is kept to an absolute minimum. In addition to this, all operating procedures and waste management systems meet the standards fro Antarctic traveling which allows for every trip to remain as beautiful as the last. |
