Debuted in January of 2014, Norwegian Getaway is the second of NCL's two Breakaway Class cruise ships. Her sister ship, Norwegian Breakaway, debuted in April of 2013. This ship continues Norwegian's theme of having a warm and inviting design, with a very contemporary feel with clean, modern lines.

After the ship's inaugural 11-night transatlantic cruise, from Rotterdam and then London (via Southampton) to New York and then Miami, Norwegian Getaway will make Miami her year-round home port, offering 7-night Caribbean cruises with departure dates from February 8, 2014 through the foreseeable future. The itinerary will include 3 full days in various islands in the Caribbean! These stops include St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and Nassau. Combined with plenty of activities during says at sea, Norwegian Getaway is a constant buzz of excitement.

Norwegian Getaway's dining features are similar to her sister ship, Norwegian Breakaway. Norwegian Getaway features a variety of fantastic Freestyle dining options including specialty seafood, Brazilian, French, Italian cuisine as well as a specialty steakhouse. In addition Norwegian Cruise Line has teamed up once ago with celebrity chef's Buddy Valastro and Geoffrey Zakarian to bring their tastes to Norwegian Getaway

The overall design theme of Norwegian Getaway's staterooms is "modern boutique hotel meets the sea." The accommodations of Norwegian Getaway combine the form and function of NCL's Jewel class ships' staterooms with the modern and contemporary design touches of Norwegian Epic.

Continuing a popular accommodation that started on the Norwegian Epic, Norwegian Getaway features The Haven suites. These suites are a private and exclusive complex located at the top of the ship. Studio accommodations, another feature started aboard Norwegian Epic, are available on Norwegian Getaway cruises as well. These smaller inside rooms are designed for the single traveler providing exclusive access to the private studio lounge, a great place to meet other single travelers. Of course, also aboard are a variety of inside, ocean view and balcony staterooms, many designed with families in mind. In fact, Norwegian Getaway includes non-suite accommodations for up to 5 guests (in their category O1 Family Oceanview staterooms).

Spa-themed accommodations are available in full suite, mini-suite and balcony staterooms. In addition to the tranquil in-room spa-décor, guests staying in Spa accommodations will benefit from easy access to the adjacent Mandara Spa and fitness center, as well as complimentary access to the Thermal Spa Suites during regular Spa hours.

Legally Blonde
Continuing the Norwegian Cruise Line tradition of Broadway plays onboard, Norwegian Getaway features the seven-time Tony Award nominated hit Legally Blonde. Performing multiple shows during every Norwegian Getaway sailing in the Getaway Theater, this is sure to be a hit with passengers both young and old.

The Illusionarium
Guests who enjoy magic will have a blast aboard Norwegian Getaway as they take in all the wonder and amazement offered at The Illusionarium show. Capturing all the magic of Norwegian Getaway's homeport of Miami, often referred to as the "Magic City," guests will experience a very special show under a 30 foot diameter video dome.

Ocean Blue
A special dining feature aboard Norwegian Getaway is celebrity chef Geoffrey Zakarian's newest seafood-at-sea restaurant, Ocean Blue. Chef Geoffrey Zakarian's skills are not limited to only one location on ship. His expertise is on display at Ocean Blue, Ocean Blue on The Waterfront, and The Raw Bar. Ocean Blue on The Waterfront is a more casual dining option then her fancy sister. The Raw Bar will serve crustaceans and wines by the glass.

The Waterfront
Norwegian Getaway features The Waterfront, a concept first introduced on Norwegian Breakaway. This quarter mile long outdoor space gives travelers the feel of being on a boardwalk with the world's greatest oceanfront view. The Waterfront features many shops, bars, and restaurants with wonderful outdoor seating.

The Haven
An exclusive area of Norwegian Getaway is her 42-suite complex. Guests that book accommodations in The Haven will benefit from a variety of upscale amenities during their cruise. Among the special benefits are 24-hour Certified Butler Service, giving guests access to a butler trained by the International Institutes of Modern Butlers. A poolside valet is available in The Haven to provide personalized service for each guest. White tablecloth in-suite dining involves a butler serving a delicious meal in your suite. All guests booked in The Haven have access to The Haven Courtyard, which includes a private pool, sundeck, hot tub and fitness area. Guests staying in a full suite aboard Norwegian Getaway benefit from the exclusive amenities of The Haven, via key card access. Among the luxurious benefits are 24-hour butler service, a poolside valet, white tablecloth in-suite dining, priority reservations for the ship's specialty restaurants, spa and entertainment venues, access to The Haven Courtyard (which has a private pool, sundeck, hot tub, and fitness area), as well as invitations to private events. 	The Haven Deluxe Owner's Suite with Large Balcony (Category H2) Size: 1,136 square feet (including balcony) Located on: Deck 16 Guests staying in one of the two Deluxe Owner's Suites aboard Norwegian Getaway are able to enjoy all of the amenities of The Haven. The suite contains a separate living room, wet bar, dining area, and guest half bathroom (powder room).
