Monarch of the Seas can be found cruising year-round from Port Canaveral, Florida to the Bahamas, on short 3- and 4-night cruises. Since Port Canaveral is only about a 45-minute drive from Orlando, Florida, many people that take a cruise aboard Monarch of the Seas combine it with a land package at one of the popular nearby theme parks (such as Disney World or Universal Studios). This makes for a fantastic cruise and land vacation!
There are many dining venues aboard Monarch of the Seas. For instance, there are main dining rooms (where you can choose to be placed in either an assigned or open dining style), Sorrento's pizzeria, Jade (an Asian specialty restaurant), and Windjammer Café (which has a large buffet, with a variety of options to choose from throughout the day and night). Of course, 24-hour room service is always another option that's available while on a Monarch of the Seas cruise.
Among the entertainment venues and things to do aboard Monarch of the Seas is a wonderful variety of bars and lounges (including Boleros, Viking Crown Lounge, Schooner Bar and The Circuit Lounge), as well as swimming pools, whirlpools, casino, rock-climbing wall and jogging track. Sound of Music Lounge is the ship's 1,050-seat theater, where a wonderful live performance takes place during each evening of the cruise. Possible shows include singers, dancers, comedians, acrobats, magicians and game shows.
Also on board Monarch of the Seas is a full-service day spa (with beauty salon) and fitness center, featuring fabulous treatments such as massages, body wraps, facials and acupuncture. |
