Boston, a great walking city, happens to be home to one of the first historic walking trails in America. the Freedom Trail. While walking along this path you'll learn about the history of Boston, all the way back to its colonial days. Among the many landmarks on this trail are The Old State House (the site of the Boston Massacre), the Quincy MarketBenjamin Franklin Statue, Copp's Hill Burial Ground, the Bunker HIll Monument, the USS Constitution, the Old North Church and Paul Revere's House. You'll have the option of doing a self-guided tour or taking a tour through the Boston Commons Visitors Center (at 148 Tremont Street) or the Bostix Booth (at Faneuil Hall).

♦ Faneuil Hall Marketplace
This popular venue (also referred to as Quincy Market, one of the buildings in this area) is home to over 40 unique pushcart eateries, various brand name shops, lively bars and pubs (like Cheers and Dick's Last Resort), as well as many restaurants. It's one of the best places in Boston to do some shopping and eating. Aside from the great things to do at the marketplace itself, it's prime location offers a short (five-minute) walk to others attractions including the New England Aquarium, the Old State House and Paul Revere's House.
