♦ Orlando's Theme Parks
Being only around a 45 minute drive from Orlando, a cruise from Port Canaveral is often combined with a land package at one (or more) of the many theme parks and resorts in Orlando. Among the great theme parks to visit while in Orlando are Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Orlando and SeaWorld. Orlando is a great place to take your family, or  even for adults to relive their younger years at. There are some adult-only venues at a couple of these resorts. For instance, CityWalk at Universal Studios is filled with great restaurants, bars and nightclubs that are open to adults (21 and over) only after 9 pm.
♦ Kennedy Space Center
Located on Merritt Island, Kennedy Space Center (KSC) is where NASA launches its space shuttles from. This is one of Florida's most popular tourist attractions, as there is a wonderful facility for visitors to take tours of (which are typically available every fifteen minutes, after 10 am and ending at 2:15 pm - subject to change). This venue is open year round (except on certain holidays and launch days). Among the many attractions at KSC are an IMAX® theater, the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame® and the Shuttle Launch Experience.

This classic beach town is located just minutes from Port Canaveral, and is a great place to relax at before and/or after a cruise from Port Canaveral.
