Besides the medical, dental, and baggage coverage you get with traveler’s insurance, you also get coverage for cancellation penalties. As long as your cancellation reason is a covered reason you will get coverage. Because of this, we highly recommend that all of our clients purchase travel insurance with their cruise, air, and/or land package. You never know what might come up - medical problems, jury duty, etc. Our travel insurance plan covers such reasons; please check with us prior to purchasing a policy if you’re not sure of the specific coverage offered.
A travel insurance quote is given online automatically on the payment page when making a reservation (before you have to enter your payment information). If you have already booked online and did not purchase travel insurance at that time and would like travel insurance, it can be added by logging in to your reservation and clicking the itineraries link. Next, select the trip you'd like to purchase the insurance for and click view itinerary. After that, click the add insurance link and follow the instructions.
The travel insurance policy offered on our web site is one of the best travel insurance plans possible. However, our standard plan does not cover you for work-related cancellations. To have such coverage you need to call us and speak with a representative, to book the insurance for you after you’d purchased your vacation online. Just ask us to add the "Cancel for Work Reasons Coverage." Another optional policy upgrade is our "Cancel for Any Reason" option, which refunds up to 75% of your trip cost if you cancel for a non-covered reason at least 48 hours prior to your departure date (not valid for Washington state residents). This additional coverage is available at an additional cost per person, must be purchased within 14 days of your initial deposit, and can only be purchased by calling us, toll free, at 1-866-214-7447.
Those that booked their reservation over the phone will not be able to add travel insurance to their reservation online. Such customers can simply give us a call to add it over the phone.
Please be careful about purchasing travel insurance on other web sites!
We only sell comprehensive travel insurance policies. For example, a lot of "other" sites use policies that do not cover the 3rd or 4th passenger in a room, and/or don’t cover you if you have pre-existing medical conditions. Our policies do offer such coverage!
You'll have pre-existing conditions covered as long as: you purchase your policy within 14 days of your initial payment date; you cover the full cost of your trip; the booking for the covered trip must be the first and only booking for this travel period and destination; and you aren't disabled from travel at the time you pay the premium.
