This first of its class, the 100,000+-ton Costa Fortuna debuted in 2003 for Costa Cruises and is a beautiful vessel that mainly offers cruises in the Mediterranean and South America.

Immediately upon boarding Costa Fortuna, guests are treated to a historically-themed decor may elicit thoughts of the luxurious and legendary ocean liners of the past. Costa's history is brought to life through the 26 models of the line's most beautiful ships.

Among the many public spaces aboard Costa Fortuna are its casino, spa, four pools (including one with a retractable cover, and anther that's just for kids), six Jacuzzis, a three-story performance theater, and a variety of bars and lounges. The Galleria Shops are where guests on board Costa Fortuna can enjoy duty-free shopping for popular items including perfume, spirits, clothing and jewelry.

The two-story Michelangelo 1965 Restaurant and Raffaello 1965 Restaurant are Costa Fortuna's main dining rooms. Each of these venues are assigned based on the ship's assigned dining format, whereby guests are able to request their dining time preference when booking. A more casual venue on board this ship is the Cristoforo Colombo 1954 Buffet, which has a variety of international choices available. Club Conte Grande 1927 is the ship's optional á la carte specialty restaurant, which has a per person cover charge for those that opt to dine there. 24-hour room service is a convenient option that's available throughout the day to all guests.

As far as accommodations go, Costa Fortuna offers a nice range of them. Interior staterooms, ocean views, balconies and suites (that are as large as 600-square feet in size) are among the possible options. In fact, over 400 of the staterooms on board Costa Fortuna have a private balcony!
