A well kept vessel, the mid-sized Costa neoRomantica can be found cruising on exotic itineraries in India, the Mediterranean and Northern Europe. This refined and seductive ship reflects high standards of Italian design, infused with the art of Susumu Shingu, a renowned Japanese artist. A Costa neoRomantica cruise is a fantastic value to those opting to enjoy a cruise vacation aboard it.
From late October 2011 through late January 2012, Costa neoRomantica (formerly named Costa Romantica), will undergo a major renovation, costing around $128 million. During this process, two new half-decks will be added to the ship (which will include 111 new staterooms). Total guest capacity will increase from 1,697 to 1,800. New areas on the ship will include a specialty club restaurant, a spa restaurant, the 4,200-square-meter Samsara Spa, a wine and cheese bar, a show lounge bar with dance floor, a cabaret, a nightclub, and a coffee and sweets bar.
There's lots to do while on a Costa neoRomantica cruise. Among the ship's
more popular public spaces are the two-level performance theater, the Excelsior Casino, two swimming pools, four Jacuzzis, seven bars and lounges, the Squok Club (a kids club, featuring PlayStation entertainment), as well as the lively disco (located at the highest deck of the ship) and Tango Ballroom.
There's a nice range of accommodations available on board Costa neoRomantica, from standard interior and ocean view staterooms, all the way up to spacious 500-square foot suites. If a veranda is something you're looking for as part of your accommodations, the only option is the ship's ten Grand Suites that each have one. Following the refurbishment of Costa neoRomantica, there will be 50 spa staterooms and 6 spa suites.
Of Costa neoRomantica's three non-specialty restaurants, the main dining room is Botticelli Restaurant. This venue has an open seating format for breakfast and lunch, but an assigned setup for dinner (where guests have the same table and wait staff on each night of the cruise). Botticelli's multi-course menu changes on each night of the cruise, providing a nice variety of options throughout the cruise. Romeo's Pizzeria is a casual and popular option available to all guests. Giardino Buffet is a large, casual venue that offers a nice variety of international choices aboard Costa neoRomantica. 24-hour room service is a very convenient way to have a snack or meal in the privacy and comfort of your stateroom or suite. |
