Search Help
You can select more than one option in most of the form fields. Here are explanations of the search options we get asked about the most often:
Departure Port: If you only want to view results for cruises that start in a specific port, you can
specify it here. You can select more than one (to see cruises that start at certain ports). For example, you can select both New York and Boston if
you only want to view cruises that start in either New York or Boston.
→ In the "Advanced Search"
Arrival Port: If you only want to view results for cruises that end in a specific port, you can specify
it here. You can select more than one (to see cruises that end at certain ports). For example, you can select both New York and Boston if you only
want to view cruises that end in either New York or Boston.
Ports of Call: You can the type name of one port that you would like all your search results to include. For
example, if you type Barcelona all of the search results will include cruises that include Barcelona (even if it's not a starting or ending port in
the itinerary). Be sure to spell the port name correctly!
Max Occupancy: Allows you to view search results that only include ships that have accommodations for a minimum
amount of people per room. For example, if you select "5 and more" your search results will only include ships that have at least one room
type that would accommodate at least 5 people. The pricing that displays on the search results page will be the per person pricing based on a room for
two people. Proceed further in the online booking process to view the pricing for accommodations for a different occupancy.
Kid-Friendly: Shows cruises that are great choices for those traveling with children and teens. Includes ships
with youth programs and/or youth-friendly public spaces. Programs and public spaces are subject to change, at the discretion of the cruise line.
→ Cruise Only vs Cruise Line Tour
If you check the Cruise Only option, you will only see results that are for a cruise vacation. If you check the Cruise Line Tour option, you will only
see vacations that include a cruise + land tour package (also known as a Cruise Tour). Leave both unchecked to view results that include
both vacation types.

Azamara Journey, a sister ship of Azamara Quest, is an elegant cruise ship in the upscale Azamara fleet. She mainly
sails in the Mediterranean with occasional Transoceanic journeys and voyages in the Caribbean, Canada, Panama Canal, South America, and
Northern & Western Europe. Her small size (a little over 30,000 tons and room for 690 guests) allows for docking in areas of the world
that larger “mega-ships” simply cannot access.
When Was Azamara Journey Last Refurbished?
The next refurbish date is September 2024. The previous 2016 refurbishment brought new amenities to Azamara Journey along with
European linens, modern furnishings, nice-size verandas for suites and balcony staterooms, etc.
Shore Excursions
Azamara ensures you can truly acquaint yourself with the lands you are visiting by featuring overnight port stays and late
departures. This grants you the opportunity to admire the mesmerizing sunrise on a morning stroll, experience a city’s lively nightlife,
or fill your entire schedule with a daylong adventure. You will find yourself genuinely immersed in local culture, whether it’s:
- Taking a guided walking tour in Greece;
- Watching seals and dolphins from a catamaran in Namibia;
- Enjoying a geothermal bath in Iceland;
- Going birdwatching on a mountainous slope with a local nature guide.
All tours accommodate small groups of guests, ensuring that your experience is personal and unforgettable, and every excursion is
developed and hosted by knowledgeable and experienced guides, making for a doubtlessly authentic encounter.
Azamara Ashore program helps you extend your amazing adventures for up to six days on land before or after your
Azamara Journey cruise. It's a wonderful way to spend more time exploring the unique ports.

Ship Highlights
Entertainment & Activities
When you’re not off exploring the amazing destinations to which Azamara Journey cruises take you, there are many ways to pass the
time as you sail through the beautiful blue sea. Azamara offers a resort casual onboard atmosphere:
- There are onboard shops where you can purchase everything from keepsakes to camera batteries to fine jewelry.
-
If you’re looking to kick back and relax, there are several hot spots to check out, including the Discoveries Lounge, which sports a
full bar and friendly bartenders, the Mosaic Café, where you can relax and enjoy a hot cup of coffee, and The Drawing Room,
Azamara Journey's onboard library and inspiration center.
-
For more lively entertainment, there’s always the Cabaret Lounge, where you can catch up to four distinctively different shows during
your voyage from full-stage musicals to classical music.
- White Night Parties are held at least once per cruise as long as the weather holds out.
-
You can catch an exciting enrichment lecture, seminar, or class where you can learn from Azamara’s own onboard experts about
destination highlights, history, and culture
Dining Options
Absorb local culture through your fork in one of Azamara Journey's excellent onboard dining venues. The menus in the restaurants
and cafes are delicious, and each dish is carefully prepared with fresh, local ingredients that are purchased in port whenever
possible.
-
Discoveries Restaurant is the main dining venue that is available to all guests (included in the price of your cruise) and also
provides a nightly selection of regionally-inspired dishes that reflect the destinations that you visit on your
Azamara Journey cruise.
-
Specialty restaurants Prime C and Aqualina are available at no cost to Club World Owner’s Suite, Club Ocean Suite, and Club Continent
Suite guests. All other travelers have to pay extra fees to dine in them.
-
Your cruise fare covers a number of standard spirits, beers, and a changing selection of one red/white wine by the glass each day
throughout your adventure, so grab a drink in the Discoveries Bar and converse with any new friends you might have made during dinner.
If you’re looking more to dine casually, Azamara Journey provides you with two great choices: The Patio and the Windows Café.
-
The Patio is a lavish al fresco dining experience completely candlelit with elegant table cloths and first-class waiter service. You
can top off your dinner at the whimsical Swirl & Top self-serve frozen yogurt station, where you can build your dream dessert from
an assortment of flavors and toppings.
-
The Windows Café is an inviting indoor/outdoor venue with daily rotating selections for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This is the
perfect place to dine if you’re looking for a variety such as pasta, salads, stir-fry, seafood, carving meats, and desserts, as well
as the opportunity to dine with a beautiful live sunset as your backdrop.
Staterooms & Suites
The accommodations aboard Azamara Journey are modern, stylish and comfortable. Staterooms range in size from 143 to 175 square
feet, and Suites range from 266 to 560 square feet. Some of the amenities that you can enjoy in one of the cozy staterooms include terry
bathrobes and slippers, fresh-cut flowers, fine bed linens with duvets, and 24-hour room service. All suites and select staterooms feature
a private balcony.
If you book a suite, you can enjoy the added amenities of complimentary butler service, one free bag of laundry service per 7 days,
afternoon tea service, complimentary access to the spa deck and Thalassotherapy pool, and a choice of complimentary internet minutes or
discount off the unlimited internet package. The relaxing Club Spa Suites feature extra in-room spa amenities as well as complimentary
in-room spirits, in-room spa music, daily delivery of healthy snacks, and more.
When you book an Azamara Journey cruise, you get to benefit from special inclusive amenities, including pre-paid gratuities,
bottled water, select standard spirits, beers, wines, specialty coffees, and teas, self-service laundry, anytime dining, and much more!
Specialty Dining Restaurants
Prime C and Aqualina are Azamara Quest’s two onboard specialty restaurants, which are free for suite guests and require a $45 cover charge
for non-suite guests (subject to change). Both venues offer an outstanding variety of choices, from Chef’s Table meals to five-course
feasts with luxuriant wines, and are hosted by a senior officer or special guest. Taste some of the most significant Italian dishes, such
as lobster ravioli or fresh Venetian seafood at Aqualina, or some of the best quality steaks and seafood dishes at Prime C. Both
restaurants feature a vast and delicious dessert menu, and tables fill up quickly, so reservations are highly recommended.
Health and Wellness
On an Azamara Journey cruise, relaxation and rejuvenation is calling your name. In the beautiful Sanctum Spa, you can treat
yourself to a variety of exotic massages, glowing facials, body sculpting procedures, and acupuncture treatments. With the outdoor Sanctum
Terrace, you may even be able to get an oceanfront massage or relax in the bubbling saltwater jet pool. Try out a new style in the salon,
where you can get yourself a new hairdo or a pampering manicure or pedicure before heading off on an adventurous excursion. If you’re
looking to get or stay in good health, you are free to use the top-quality workout equipment in the fitness center or participate in a
complimentary fitness class such as sunset yoga on the deck. For an additional fee, you can engage in specialized services, including
one-on-one personal training, Acu-Lift treatments, and personalized nutrition consultations. Many of these services fill up quickly so
reservations are highly recommended.
The Living Room
Formerly named “The Looking Glass Lounge,” The Living Room is one of the updated common areas designed to look and feel like a real living
room. Here, you will discover comfortable sofas, chairs, and a handmade wooden wine table used for occasional tastings. During the day,
you can come to The Living Room to grab a warm cup of tea or a hot cup of coffee and enjoy finger sandwiches and pastries. From the late
afternoon into the evening, there will be a variety of hot and cold tapas with wine available. You may also encounter dancing, karaoke,
and live music at night. If you come on the right night, the chef may even surprise you with a selection of desserts.
Your ticket to relaxation and rejuvenation awaits, as do big savings and exclusive offers. Call us now - we’re ready to assist you
