Search Help
You can select more than one option in most of the form fields. Here are explanations of the search options we get asked about the most often:
Departure Port: If you only want to view results for cruises that start in a specific port, you can
specify it here. You can select more than one (to see cruises that start at certain ports). For example, you can select both New York and Boston if
you only want to view cruises that start in either New York or Boston.
→ In the "Advanced Search"
Arrival Port: If you only want to view results for cruises that end in a specific port, you can specify
it here. You can select more than one (to see cruises that end at certain ports). For example, you can select both New York and Boston if you only
want to view cruises that end in either New York or Boston.
Ports of Call: You can the type name of one port that you would like all your search results to include. For
example, if you type Barcelona all of the search results will include cruises that include Barcelona (even if it's not a starting or ending port in
the itinerary). Be sure to spell the port name correctly!
Max Occupancy: Allows you to view search results that only include ships that have accommodations for a minimum
amount of people per room. For example, if you select "5 and more" your search results will only include ships that have at least one room
type that would accommodate at least 5 people. The pricing that displays on the search results page will be the per person pricing based on a room for
two people. Proceed further in the online booking process to view the pricing for accommodations for a different occupancy.
Kid-Friendly: Shows cruises that are great choices for those traveling with children and teens. Includes ships
with youth programs and/or youth-friendly public spaces. Programs and public spaces are subject to change, at the discretion of the cruise line.
→ Cruise Only vs Cruise Line Tour
If you check the Cruise Only option, you will only see results that are for a cruise vacation. If you check the Cruise Line Tour option, you will only
see vacations that include a cruise + land tour package (also known as a Cruise Tour). Leave both unchecked to view results that include
both vacation types.

Caribbean Cruises
Looking for tropical beaches? Want to swim with the dolphins? Yearning for the most beautiful blue waters in the world? Well, then a
Caribbean cruise is for you! In few other places can you find such exotic cruise destinations, one after the other. In fact, the Caribbean
is the world's most popular cruise destination, filled with the most cruise lines and cruise ships each year.
Besides the world-class beaches in the Caribbean there are also lush rainforests, scenic mountains, and a rich history. Whether it's
Aruba, St. Lucia, St. Thomas, San Juan, Barbados, Jamaica, or any of the other amazing islands of the Caribbean, you're sure to have the
vacation of a lifetime on a Caribbean cruise.
In the cruising world the Caribbean is divided into three regions: Eastern Caribbean, Southern Caribbean and
Western Caribbean. The Eastern Caribbean includes the Bahamas, as well as the islands of the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, St.
Maarten, St. Lucia, St. Thomas, Tortola, and Turks & Caicos. In the Southern Caribbean you'll find Antigua, Aruba, Barbados, Bonaire,
Curacao, Dominica, Grenada, St. Barts and St. Kitts. The Western Caribbean includes Belize, Costa Rica, Grand Cayman, Honduras, Jamaica,
Key West, Panama, and also includes some of the ports in eastern Mexico (like Cozumel and Playa del Carmen).
One of the best aspects of a Caribbean cruise is that those that live in much of the eastern and southern U.S. can take a Caribbean cruise
that departs from a port near their home. For instance, there are Caribbean cruises that depart from New York City, Baltimore, Fort
Lauderdale, Bayonne, Miami, New Orleans, and Galveston. Another great aspect of Caribbean cruises is that they can be found in a wide
range of lengths, from short 4-night cruises to longer 14-night itineraries, so there's something to fit just about anyone's vacation
schedule.
American Discount Cruises & Travel is proud to offer the best deals possible on all Caribbean cruises booked with us. Backed by our
"Low Price Guarantee," and powered by our team of expert travel agents, we're sure to exceed your expectations when booking your next Caribbean
cruise!
Highlighted Caribbean Cruise Attractions
The following are just a few of the many things to do while in the Caribbean:
Beautiful Caribbean Beaches
There are just too many breathtaking white-sand beaches in the Caribbean to name
them all. Among the most popular Caribbean beaches are Magens Bay (in St. Thomas), Half Moon Bay (in Antigua), Trunk Bay (in St. John),
Cane Garden Bay (in Tortola), Palm Beach (in Aruba), Shoal Bay (in Antguilla), the Gold Coast (of Barbados) and Seven Mile Beach (there's
one in Grand Cayman and one in Negril, Jamaica - both are beautiful!). It would be a real shame for you to take a Caribbean cruise without
visiting at least one of these amazing beaches.
Water Sports
The Caribbean is a mecca for water sports of all kinds. Among the many activities typically available are scuba diving, snorkeling, wave
running, kayaking and parasailing. If you're looking for a great snorkeling spot check out the beaches of Antigua, Trunk Bay (in St.
John), the beaches of St. Martin (the French side of St. Maarten), Bonaire National Marine Park, as well as Stingray City in Grand
Cayman.
Duty-Free Shopping
One of the main things that cruise passengers enjoy doing while on a Caribbean cruise is taking advantage of the amazing prices that they
can get on a wide range of items. For instance, on a Caribbean cruise you'll find fine jewelry, watches, perfume and even cigarettes at
largely reduced (duty-free) prices.
