OPTION #1: Pre-Arranged Singles Vacation Packages

Interested in a cruise or resort package designed specifically for singles? The benefit of this is that there will be a large group of singles that booked the same package as you. Not everyone in the ship or resort will be a single, but many will be. Special singles events and activities will be planned throughout the vacation.

The following is included with our Singles Cruises packages:

The following is available at an additional cost on our Singles Cruises:

• Pre-cruise hotel stay and meet and greet gathering the night before the singles cruise sets sail

There are a few cruise ships that offer special accommodations designed with singles in mind. Many cruise lines, even those that don't have ships with accommodations just for singles, have special sales for singles, as well as events and programs during their cruises.

Activities for Singles

What is there to do on typical cruises for singles? LOTS! For example, many cruise lines offer "singles nights" in their discos or in various lounges onboard the ships. Such events are a great way to meet fellow singles that are on your cruise. There are lots of pool-side activities, dancing events, cocktail parties, and shows as well. Being a single on a cruise is a great way to meet new people. Because of all the activities and amenities onboard the ship, you're guaranteed to have fun while on your cruise.

Single Supplement

Often times, the cruise lines charge a single passenger a single supplement. A single supplement charge is an up-charge added to the cruise fare for you to occupy a double occupancy stateroom alone. Sometimes though, the cruise line will offer special single passenger rates where they do not charge a single supplement, or charge a reduced single supplement fee. Among the cruise lines that sometimes offer waived or reduced single supplements are Holland America Line, Cunard Line, as well as ultra-luxury cruise lines like Seabourn Cruise Line and Silversea Cruises.

Single Occupancy Staterooms

There are cruise ships that actually have staterooms made for singles. Among such cruise lines are Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean, Costa Cruises, Holland America Line, Cunard Line and Virgin Voyages. Such accommodations are available on a limited basis, but when available would save you having to pay the single supplement fees (or, at least, will get you a significant reduction on such costs). This is a much better way to find cheap singles cruises!

Norwegian Cruise Line has been a pioneer in single accommodations, with their Studio staterooms. These are 100-square-foot accommodations designed for single passengers, creating a great value for solo cruisers. All guests staying in a Studio stateroom will get special key-card access to the Studio Lounge, an exclusive area of the ship just for such guests. Single travelers do not have a pay a single supplement fee when making a reservation in one of NCL's Studio staterooms!

Studio staterooms are on the following NCL ships: (itineraries subject to change)

• Pride of America: debuted in 2005, and sails year round in Hawaii, from Honolulu.
• Norwegian Epic: debuted in 2010, and sails year-round in Europe.
• Norwegian Breakaway: debuted in 2013, and sails year round from New York City to either the Bahamas, Bermuda or the Caribbean.
• Norwegian Getaway: debuted in 2014, and primarily offers voyages to the Caribbean and Bahamas.
• Norwegian Escape: debuted in 2015, and sails year round from Miami to the Caribbean.
• Norwegian Bliss: debuted in 2018, and offers voyages to Alaska, the Panama Canal, Mexican Riviera and Western Caribbean.
• Norwegian Encore: debuted in 2019, and sails year round from Miami to the Caribbean.
• Norwegian Prima: debuted in 2022, and offers voyages to the Caribbean and Bermuda, as well as Iceland and Norway.
• Norwegian Viva: debuting in 2023, and will offer voyages to the Caribbean, Mediterranean and Transatlantic voyages.

Royal Caribbean's Quantum-class cruise ships (Quantum of the Seas, Anthem of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas and Spectrum of the Seas) have studio accommodations, some which have a private balcony. Solo traveler accomodations are also available on Harmony of the Seas and Brilliance of the Seas.

Since December 2014, Cunard's Queen Elizabeth has eight outside and one inside stateroom for single guests. These single staterooms have an ideal mid-ship location, in close proximity to social areas (like the Empire Casino, Royal Court Theater, and Queens Room), and have single beds with a generous width of over 47". These accommodations are limited, and can be reserved now (if not sold out yet).

Virgin Voyages launched in 2021 with one of a kind adult-only experiences, unique onboard offerings, and an ambiance that is far from status quo, showcasing offbeat entertainment, high-tech environments, and inclusive fares. Their four ships Brilliant Lady, Resilient Lady, Scarlet Lady, and Valiant Lady have accomodations for solo travelers in inside and oceanview staterooms.

Single Share Programs

Select cruise lines offer special programs for single travelers that are looking to share a room with another single passenger of the same sex. For instance, Holland America Line offers such a program, for select accommodations. If you're interested in participating in this type of program, please contact us for assistance.

Gentleman Hosts

There are certain cruise lines (usually the luxury cruise lines, such as Cunard Line) that offer Gentleman Hosts, to enhance the onboard social environment for women that are traveling single on a cruise. These Gentlemen are available as dancing partners, dinner companions, and often times are available to join you while you're on a shore excursion. These men are well-traveled, educated, and have been screened by the cruise line to ensure that you'll have an excellent time while in their company.
