Search Help
You can select more than one option in most of the form fields. Here are explanations of the search options we get asked about the most often:
Departure Port: If you only want to view results for cruises that start in a specific port, you can
specify it here. You can select more than one (to see cruises that start at certain ports). For example, you can select both New York and Boston if
you only want to view cruises that start in either New York or Boston.
→ In the "Advanced Search"
Arrival Port: If you only want to view results for cruises that end in a specific port, you can specify
it here. You can select more than one (to see cruises that end at certain ports). For example, you can select both New York and Boston if you only
want to view cruises that end in either New York or Boston.
Ports of Call: You can the type name of one port that you would like all your search results to include. For
example, if you type Barcelona all of the search results will include cruises that include Barcelona (even if it's not a starting or ending port in
the itinerary). Be sure to spell the port name correctly!
Max Occupancy: Allows you to view search results that only include ships that have accommodations for a minimum
amount of people per room. For example, if you select "5 and more" your search results will only include ships that have at least one room
type that would accommodate at least 5 people. The pricing that displays on the search results page will be the per person pricing based on a room for
two people. Proceed further in the online booking process to view the pricing for accommodations for a different occupancy.
Kid-Friendly: Shows cruises that are great choices for those traveling with children and teens. Includes ships
with youth programs and/or youth-friendly public spaces. Programs and public spaces are subject to change, at the discretion of the cruise line.
→ Cruise Only vs Cruise Line Tour
If you check the Cruise Only option, you will only see results that are for a cruise vacation. If you check the Cruise Line Tour option, you will only
see vacations that include a cruise + land tour package (also known as a Cruise Tour). Leave both unchecked to view results that include
both vacation types.

Bahamas Cruises
With year-round cruises being offered to the Bahamas, it is one of the most popular cruise destinations in the world. The Bahamas is
composed of over 700 islands and 2,000 cays, but only two of the islands are typically
visited on a cruise (aside from the private islands of various cruise lines). New Providence Island is the home of Nassau, the capital
city of the Bahamas. Grand Bahama Island is where Freeport is located, which is nearby the popular resort town of Lucaya.
Among the many things to do while in the Bahamas are horseback riding, swimming with dolphins, boating, sailing, diving, snorkeling,
fishing, bird watching, taking tours of their historic cities, and enjoying a wide range of water sports.
American Discount Cruises & Travel is proud to offer the best deals possible on all Bahamas cruises booked with us. Backed by our
"Low Price Guarantee," and powered by our team of expert travel agents, we're sure to exceed your expectations when booking your next Bahamas cruise!
Highlighted Bahamas Cruise Attractions
The following are just a few of the many things to do while in the Bahamas:
Paradise Island
Accessible from Nassau via a quick taxi or bus, Paradise Island is the home of many resorts and beautiful beaches. Among the attractions
is the Atlantis Resort, one of the most popular places in all of the Bahamas. It's a luxurious resort with a huge
casino and amazing aquarium.
Beautiful Beaches
The Bahamas are filled with beautiful pink- and white-sand beaches, which is why most Bahamas cruise passengers head to one of them while
in port. Among the most popular beaches in the Bahamas are Cable Beach (located in Nassau, nearby a bunch of restaurants, bars and shops),
Cabbage Beach (located on Paradise Island), Lucaya Beach (located near Freeport) and Xanadu Beach (a great white-sand beach near
Freeport).
Duty-Free & Bargain Shopping
Bay Street, located in Nassau, is where you want to go for bargain pricing on designer clothes, watches, jewelry and more. The duty-free
shopping available in this area is a can't miss for those looking for quality items at a great price. Port Lucaya Marketplace, which can
be reached from Freeport, is another great place for Bahamas cruise passengers to take advantage of duty-free pricing. Bargain shoppers
love to check out the unique products being sold at this often busy marketplace. It's located right in the middle of town and is a great
place to purchase a wide variety of local crafts or get your hair braided.
