Luxurious & Modern Ships
The vessels in the AmaWaterways fleet are among the best in their class. In fact, their state-of-the-art ships are some of the newest doing river cruises in Europe. There is an Infotainment system in all staterooms, with an available movie and music library and complimentary Internet access. Onboard each ship you'll find bars, lounges (with dance floors and daily entertainment), a sun deck, wellness center and beauty salon. English is the primary language spoken onboard all of their ships.
Deluxe staterooms are 170 square feet, with hotel-style beds that can be set up as two twin beds or one large double bed. Junior suites are extra spacious at 255 square feet. The majority of staterooms feature twin balconies, which are combination French and full outside balconies so that you can have an even more stunning panoramic view of the landscape as well as the option to illuminate your room with more natural sunlight.
Casual, yet Gourmet, Dining
The cuisine served onboard all of the AmaWaterways ships is so excellent that they were invited to become a member of La Chaine des Rotisseurs. Headed by executive chef Primus Perchtold, who won three gold medals at the European Championship of Culinary Art, the food aboard AmaWaterways is certain to hook you from your first bite. The gourmet offerings, made with fresh local ingredients whenever possible, are served in an open seating format, making for a relaxed atmosphere. Try something inspired from the city you just toured or stick with a traditional Western meal – the choice is yours. Quality wines (included with every dinner) are served with every dish.

In 2019, AmaWaterways plans on releasing three state-of-the-art ships: AmaMagna, AmaMora and AmaDouro. AmaMagna will be the biggest ship of AmaWaterway’s fleet, with its width twice the size of a traditional river cruise ship, while still maintaining its intimate environment. AmaMora will be a sister ship to AmaLea and AmaKristina with a 156-guest capacity. AmaDouro will be the second ship to cruise the Douro River and will have a 102-guest capacity.
AmaWaterways plans to add AmaLea, a one-of-a-kind ship, in 2018. AmaLea will feature connecting staterooms and six new itineraries in Europe, Asia and Africa.
The newest ship to join the AmaWaterways fleet, AmaMagna, will debut in May 2019. Offering voyages on the Danube, AmaMagna will be almost twice the width of traditional European river cruise ships.
