National Geographic Explorer, recently refurbished in 2008, features some of the most high-tech sea-faring equipment found in an expedition vessel. This includes equipment to to forecast ice conditions, remotely controlled underwater cameras, and a hull thick enough to break through even the toughest of ice.
National Geographic Explorer carries only 148 passengers which will allow for a great opportunity for one-on-one interaction time with the many National Geographic experts onboard. There are experts from all fields of nature and conservation including biology, geology, and even photography.
