Scheduled to launch in 2020, Le Jacques Cartier will be the last ship in Ponant's Polar Expedition class. This class that remains true to the Ponant spirit, with a subtle blend of refinement, intimacy and comfort. Le Jacques Cartier will continue the Ponant tradition of smaller yachts that are able to access more intimate ports. Carrying only a maximum of 184 passengers, all guests will feel like the are aboard their own private yacht.
Le Jacques Cartier, like her sister ship Le Bellot, will have many common areas that are designed to meet all of your needs, while preserving the intimacy of each passenger. Guests can also enjoy a panoramic-view pool, equipped with a counter-current swimming system, solarium and outdoor bar.
In addition, Le Jacques Cartier also boasts a new hydraulic platform with adjustable height that provides easier boarding access, Zodiac embarkation and disembarkation for expeditions, and access to the sea for swimming and other water activities such as kayaking or paddleboarding. Guests can also attend daily entertainment at a theatre fully upgraded with the latest sound and lighting technology, including a LED wall as the stage backdrop.
An essential part of French culture, gastronomy will naturally have pride of place aboard Le Jacques Cartier. Guests can partake of a relaxed dining atmosphere on Deck 3, offering grilled meats and a variety of salads and desserts daily, or a panoramic restaurant featuring a buffet to the back of Deck 4. |
