When it debuted in 2009, the 92,700-ton Costa Luminosa was the first in its class. It's a refined and innovative vessel that can be found cruising in destinations including the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and the Middle East.
Of Costa Luminosa's many public spaces, some of the more popular areas are the three swimming pools (including one that's just for kids, and another that has a retractable cover), four Jacuzzis, eleven bars and lounges, a three-level theater, Altair Disco, a children's center (the Squok Club), the Teen's Zone, as well as the Samsara Spa and the Vega Casino. An interesting feature is the Pool Deck's giant screen that plays a variety of shows throughout each Costa Luminosa cruise. The Galleria Shops offer great deals, through duty-free pricing on items including spirits, clothing, perfume and jewelry.
There are four main dining venues aboard Costa Luminosa, including the two-story main dining room (Taurus Restaurant). Two of the ship's restaurants are optional specialty venues that require a cover charge to be paid by each guest, Club Luminosa and the Samsara Restaurant. Guests staying in a spa stateroom or suite don't have to pay the cover charge to dine at the Samsara Restaurant. A more casual option is the large Andromeda Buffet, featuring a variety of international options and a pizzeria. 24-hour room service is a convenient option that's available to all guests.
Whether you're looking for a standard interior stateroom, an ocean view or a private balcony, Costa Luminosa has it all. There are even lavish suites that are over 450-square feet in size! Guests that enjoy the spa should consider making a reservation for one of the ship's Samsara staterooms or suites, which offer their guests special spa privileges (such as unlimited access to the spa's thalassotherapy pool) and spa-inspired in-room amenities. |
