The second of Holland America Line's Pinnacle Class ships, ms Nieuw Statendam, will launch in December 2018. MS Nieuw Statendam, like her sister ship ms Koningsdam, carries forward the nautical heritage, signature service and classic style for which Holland America Line is known—while raising the bar for 21st-century elegance. Following her 14-night Premier Sailing, ms Nieuw Statendam will spend the winter season cruising roundtrip from Ft. Lauderdale on seven-day Caribbean itineraries, while also offering 4- and 10-night voyages.

For the design of its Pinnacle Class ships, Holland America reached out to one of the world's per-eminent hospitality designers, Adam D. Tihany, and to distinguished designer and architect Bjorn Storbraaten. Onboard, guests will find an emphasis on grand light-filled spaces, visual drama and sumptuous interiors inspired by the fluid curves of musical instruments. A beautifully appointed mid-sized ship with elegant lines, ms Nieuw Statendam proudly reflects more than 140 years of Dutch seafaring tradition.

The heart of ms Nieuw Statendam is it's breathtaking central atrium. Soaring three deck high, the ceiling is a backdrop for subtly changing high-definition projections, which transition throughout the day. In the morning, guests will see whispy clouds floating overhead - replaced in the evening by dramatic lighting hues and reflections of constellations in the night sky.

Designed to provide a welcoming haven at the end of an eventful day, ms Nieuw Statendam's staterooms include thoughtful modern touches such as bedside USB ports, frameless shower doors, customized wood cabinets, as well as other sophisticated decor and amenities. An Updated Take on Traditional Design
Constructed with new interior features in mind, none of ms Nieuw Statendam's public spaces highlight this more so than the updated central atrium. Located in the heart of the ship and spanning across three levels, this space echoes the instrumental influences with airy, stainless steel sculptures. Its key focus is motivating inspiration behind the new, Pinnacle Class design: visual interaction. Guests will find the visuals changing before their eyes as they move through the atrium, capped by the ceiling which functions as a backdrop for subtle, high-definition projects: everything from wispy clouds or soothing reflections of water and light during the day, to constellations of the night sky.

Onboard ms Nieuw Statendam, there is a wide selection of activities to sample during your cruise.
