Ports of Call: You can the type name of one port that you would like all your search results to include. For example, if you type Barcelona all of the search results will include cruises that include Barcelona (even if it's not a starting or ending port in the itinerary). Be sure to spell the port name correctly!

Max Occupancy: Allows you to view search results that only include ships that have accommodations for a minimum amount of people per room. For example, if you select "5 and more" your search results will only include ships that have at least one room type that would accommodate at least 5 people. The pricing that displays on the search results page will be the per person pricing based on a room for two people. Proceed further in the online booking process to view the pricing for accommodations for a different occupancy.

Kid-Friendly: Shows cruises that are great choices for those traveling with children and teens. Includes ships with youth programs and/or youth-friendly public spaces. Programs and public spaces are subject to change, at the discretion of the cruise line.

A part of the acclaimed Holland America Line fleet, the mid-sized ms Volendam is a beautiful and spacious vessel that cruises in some of the world's most popular vacation destinations. The garden theme of this ship is quite evident, and lovely, as guests walk through and see artistic flower images and fresh flowers throughout.

There's so many things one can do while on a ms Volendam cruise. Among this ship's most popular public spaces are the many bars and lounges, including Crow's Nest (a large observation lounge that becomes a hip nightclub on each night of the cruise). Also on board ms Volendam are swimming pools, whirlpools, an exciting casino, as well as an art gallery and photo gallery. An interesting area of the ship is the Culinary Arts Center, presented by Food & Wine Magazine, a state-of-the-art demonstration kitchen that offers gourmet cooking lessons. On each evening of the cruise a live performance takes place at the two-level Frans Hals Lounge. Possible shows include comedians, magicians, acrobats, singers, dancers and even game shows.

Well known for their premium staff service and cuisine, Holland America Line certainly doesn't disappoint aboard ms Volendam. The two-story Rotterdam Dining Room is the ship's main restaurant, open for all three meals of the day. During dinner, a multi-course meal is served via an assigned or open seating format (depending on your preference, you many request either option prior to your cruise). Other dining venues aboard ms Volendam are the Lido Restaurant, featuring cooked-to-order international options, and the open-air Terrace Grill. 24-hour room service is a convenient option that's available to all guests.

Following her next refurbishment, ms Volendam will debut a number of Suite enhancements as part of a $300-million brand initiative. The main living area in each Suite will be refreshed with a new sofa, lounge chairs, carpet, headboard and more to bring a feeling of contemporary luxury to these accommodations. Electronic upgrades will feature new USB outlets added to the bed headboard, along with LED bedside lights, and fully interactive television system integrating movies on demand as well as daily programming. Suite bathrooms will also receive a designer makeover, featuring a new vanity area with new stone tops, modern faucets and under-mount sinks. Starting in January 2016, guests will also receive additional Suite amenities, which include superior bathrobes and slippers, binoculars for use during the voyage, an in-suite coffee and espresso machine and more!
