Since her inaugural cruise on April 30, 2013, Norwegian Breakaway became the first of NCL's two Breakaway Class cruise ships. A sister ship, Norwegian Getaway, debuted in April of 2014. This ship has a warm and inviting design, with a very contemporary feel with clean, modern lines.

Norwegian Breakaway features a variety of fantastic Freestyle dining options. Among the dining venues are Ocean Blu (a seafood restaurant), Moderno Churrascaria (serving Brazilian cuisine), Le Bistro (a French restaurant), Raw Bar, La Cucina (a piazza-style trattoria), Cagney's Steakhouse, as well as the ship's three main dining rooms (two of which are Savor and The Manhattan Room).

The overall design theme of Norwegian Breakaway's staterooms is "modern boutique hotel meets the sea." The accommodations of this ship combine the form and function of NCL's Jewel class ships' staterooms with the modern and contemporary design touches of Norwegian Epic.

Among the highlights of this ship's accommodations are The Haven, a private and exclusive suite complex located at the top of the ship. Studio accommodations, first featured aboard Norwegian Epic, are available on Norwegian Breakaway cruises as well. Of course, also aboard are a variety of inside, ocean view and balcony staterooms, many designed with families in mind. In fact, Norwegian Breakaway debuted NCL's first-ever non-suite accommodations for up to 5 guests (in their category O1 Family Oceanview staterooms).

Spa-themed accommodations are available in full suite, mini-suite and balcony staterooms. In addition to the tranquil in-room spa-décor, guests staying in Spa accommodations benefit from easy access to the adjacent Mandara Spa and fitness center, as well as complimentary access to the Thermal Spa Suites during regular Spa hours.

'Cake Boss' Cupcake store
Those with a sweet-tooth will feel right at home onboard Norwegian Breakaway. Featured on Deck 8 is this at-sea version of Carlo's Bake Shop, the star store of TLC's hit show "Cake Boss." Owned and operated by baking celebrity Buddy Valastro, this onboard bake shop brings all the flair and creativity of the famous bake shop onboard Norwegian Breakaway. Guests are able to enjoy baked goods, order custom cakes for onboard celebrations, and even take baking classes while onboard.

Onboard Fireworks Show
Every cruise onboard Norwegian Breakaway is capped off with an amazing pyrotechnic show. Marking the end of your getaway and the 1980s themed deck party, the fireworks show is set to the playlist of classic 1980s artists like Madonna, Prince, Quiet Riot, and Dove. Fireworks are a grand spectacle for fans of Norwegian Breakaway's featured Broadway show, Rock of Ages.

Aqua Park and Sports Complex
Norwegian Breakaway has the first Aqua Park at sea with five full-size water slides, including twin Free Fall slides (the first ever at sea), and a three-story sports complex that includes the largest ropes course at sea, a nine-hole miniature golf course, basketball court, rock climbing wall and more. These areas of the ship are sure to be among the most popular places to be.

678 Ocean-place
Located on decks 6, 7 and 8 of Norwegian Breakaway, this area includes bars, a casino, and the buzzing excitement of The Waterfront, which is made up of a variety of venues with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Spice H2O
Located at the back of Norwegian Breakaway, this adults-only venue offers day-time relaxation and night-time excitement. In this area is a huge video screen, two hot tubs, and a soothing dual waterfall feature. At night, there's a bar and lounge area to enjoy.

Vibe Beach Club
Guests 18 and older can enjoy this private retreat on board Norwegian Breakaway by purchasing an access pass. Vibe Beach Club includes an oversized hot tube, luxurious chaise loungers, a full-service bar, water spritzers, chilled towels, and a relaxing water feature.

The Haven
An exclusive area of Norwegian Breakaway is her 42-suite complex. Guests that book accommodations in The Haven benefit from a variety of upscale amenities during their cruise. Among the special benefits is a 24-hour Certified Butler Service, giving guests access to a butler trained by the International Institutes of Modern Butlers. A poolside valet will be available in The Haven to provide personalized service for each guest. White tablecloth in-suite dining involves a butler serving a delicious meal in your suite. All guests booked in The Haven have access to The Haven Courtyard, which includes a private pool, sundeck, hot tub and fitness area. Guests staying in a full suite aboard Norwegian Breakaway benefit from the exclusive amenities of The Haven, via key card access.
