Carnival Legend was recently refurbished in 2014 as part of a multi-million dollar upgrade program. Among the upgrades are new dining options, entertainment experiences, and even a full size waterpark. For dining, Carnival Legend received RedFrog Pub, Bonsai Sushi, and Cherry On Top which are all huge hits on other Carnival ships. Entertainment saw the edition of Hasbro, The Game Show and Playlist Productions. To top it all off, Carnival Legend received an extensive waterpark that even features a 187-foot long slide, the longest in North America!
A Spirit Class cruise ship, the 88,550-ton Carnival Legend usually does 7-night Western Caribbean cruises that sail round trip from Tampa, Florida all year long. A limited selection of 7-night Eastern Caribbean cruises are also available. This ship is a great choice for those that are looking for a fun and affordable Caribbean cruise vacation.
There's a ton of things to do while on a Carnival Legend cruise. For instance, there's a thee-level main show lounge (named Follies), where on each night of the cruise you can see a fantastic live show. Among the many types of performances at this venue are Broadway-style production shows, comedians, dancers, singers, acrobats, magicians, and even game shows that involve guests that have volunteered to participate. Also on board Carnival Legend is a large casino, full-service spa with fitness center and beauty salon, swimming pools, hot tubs, waterslide, internet cafe, art gallery, photo gallery, duty-free shopping boutiques and many bars and lounges (including a Billie's Piano Bar, Dream Team Sports Bar, Atlantis Lounge and Medusa's Lair, a dance club).
As far as dining options go aboard Carnival Legend, there are many options. There are main dining rooms, where you can choose to have Assigned or Your Time (open) Dining for dinner, Unicorn Café (featuring a large buffet that includes a variety of made-to-order options), as well as 24-hour room service.
Families traveling with children and teens should be happy to learn that there is a fabulous youth program available on all Carnival Legend cruises, including Club O2 (a hip teens-only hangout). |
