The first of Carnival's Spirit Class cruise ships, the 88,500-ton Carnival Spirit can be found cruising in Australia. It's a fantastic ship for those looking for a fun, yet affordable, cruise vacation.
Carnival Spirit emerged from an extensive dry dock in early 2012 with a number of new features, including a WaterWorks aqua park and a Serenity adults-only retreat.
There are many dining options available on a Carnival Spirit cruise. For instance, there are the main dining rooms (where you can choose between Assigned or Your Time, open, Dining), La Playa Grille (the ship's Lido Restaurant, which features a large buffet as well as a salad bar, pizzeria and deli), a sushi bar, Nouveau Steakhouse (the ship's optional and upscale specialty restaurant, which has a per person cover charge), and 24-hour room service.
As far as entertainment venues and things to do go, Carnival Spirit is filled with fantastic and fun choices. Among the possibilities are the three-level show lounge, a large casino, a three-deck high waterslide, swimming pools, hot tubs, mini-golf, a jogging track, video arcade and a full-service spa (named Spa Carnival, which includes a beauty salon and fitness center). There are many bars and lounge on board Carnival Spirit, including Dancin' Dance Club, Versailles Lounge, the poolside Canopy Bar, Shanghai Piano Bar, Club Cool Jazz Club and The Champions' Sports Bar.
Like the rest of the Carnival fleet, Carnival Spirit has a wonderful, age-based youth program available on board (including supervision by their well-trained staff). Camp Carnival is for 2 to 11 year olds, Circle "C" is for 12 to 14 year olds, and Club O2 is for that are 15 to 17. |

Pharaoh's Palace
This three-level lounge is Carnival Spirit's main showroom. During each evening there's a different live show at this venue, with possibilities including Broadway-style productions, comedians, magicians, acrobats, singers, dancers and fun-filled game shows (that may involve the participation of guests that have volunteered).
Louis XIV Casino
If you're feeling lucky while on a Carnival Spirit cruise, consider testing your luck at the ship's large casino. Among the popular games available at this venue are blackjack, roulette, craps, poker and slot machines. There are usually a few gaming tournaments during each cruise, possibly including Texas Hold'em.
