The first of Carnival's XL-class ships, Mardi Gras will be the next ship to enter into the Carnival fleet. Planned to debut in 2021, Mardi Gras will begin her inaugural season in Europe and Canada/New England before offering itineraries throughout the Eastern and Western Caribbean.

Mardi Gras will be the first Carnival ship to feature zones that each create a distinct atmosphere in different areas of the ship. The six zones that will be aboard Mardi Gras will be: Grand Central, the French Quarter, Summer Landing, La Piazza, Lido, and the Ultimate Playground. From onboard accommodations to cutting edge dining venues to entertainment options, Carnival amps up the FUN for an unforgettable vacation!

Mardi Gras has a wide selection of well-appointed, beautifully designed staterooms and suites, from simple interior and oceanview staterooms, to spacious balcony and suite staterooms. Guest can also book staterooms with different' "experiences," such as Havana, Family Harbor, and Cloud 9 Spa accommodations.

Carnival's FUN Ship 2.0 enhancements are taken even a step further on Mardi Gras, with the inclusion of Carnival's latest dining and entertainment innovations! These include outdoor seating options at specialty eateries like classic American steakhouse Fahrenheit 555. Guests can also sate a candy craving at the sweetest place on the sea, Cherry on Top, the premium source for candy and ice cream creations onboard. The main dining room, Palm Restaurant, offers not only a feast for the hungry stomach but for the eyes as well; with striking, modern interiors created by award-winning designer BigTime Design studios.

Mardi Gras will feature truly spectacular views both inside and out, with the various activities featured in the Ultimate Playground, such as Carnival Waterworks, the ropes course, sports court, mini-golf, and brand new BOLT rollercoaster, the first rollercoaster at sea!

Carnival WaterWorks & Sports
A signature space on board many Carnival cruise ships, Mardi Gras boasts one of the largest of the fleet's onboard water parks to date. With multiple twisting waterslides, stationary water toys, and more, it's a fun-filled time for guests of all ages.

Serenity
A tranquil adults-only retreat aboard Mardi Gras, Serenity is a great place to spend some time if you're looking to just relax during your cruise. Some of the things to do at Serenity will be reading a book, enjoying the view, having a drink from a bar, and resting on a lounge chair or hammock.

Youth Clubs
Like the rest of the Carnival Cruise Lines fleet, Mardi Gras has a fantastic youth program available. Children age 12 and under will have a delightful time at Camp Ocean™, a dedicated undersea-themed play space with more than 200 ocean-inspired activities. Mardi Gras will also feature Circle C for young teens as well as Club O2 for "almost-adult" teens!

This large area of Mardi Gras offers guests a variety of activities to participate in. Basketball, mini-golf, football, table tennis, a ropes course, soccer, jogging and strength training are among the options.

BOLT, the First Rollercoaster at Sea
Experience the first rollercoaster at sea in this special partnership between Carnival and Munich-based Maurer Rides! Guests can control the speed of their electric-powered car, choosing to set the pace as fast or slow. You'll go 190 into the air over the ocean, twisting and turning, all while taking in some fabulous views! BOLT has a minimum height requirement of 43 inches, and a maximum height of 76 inches.

Cloud 9 Spa
All types of relaxing and rejuvenating treatments are available at the Cloud 9 Spa aboard Mardi Gras. It is a spacious and tranquil oasis for guests to enjoy throughout the cruise. The spa facilities include a thermal suite, thalassotherapy pool, DIY scrub experience, and mud lounge. Treatments on the spa menu include a variety of facials, massages, acupuncture, tooth whitening, and salon services for both men and women.
