Search Help
You can select more than one option in most of the form fields. Here are explanations of the search options we get asked about the most often:
Departure Port: If you only want to view results for cruises that start in a specific port, you can
specify it here. You can select more than one (to see cruises that start at certain ports). For example, you can select both New York and Boston if
you only want to view cruises that start in either New York or Boston.
→ In the "Advanced Search"
Arrival Port: If you only want to view results for cruises that end in a specific port, you can specify
it here. You can select more than one (to see cruises that end at certain ports). For example, you can select both New York and Boston if you only
want to view cruises that end in either New York or Boston.
Ports of Call: You can the type name of one port that you would like all your search results to include. For
example, if you type Barcelona all of the search results will include cruises that include Barcelona (even if it's not a starting or ending port in
the itinerary). Be sure to spell the port name correctly!
Max Occupancy: Allows you to view search results that only include ships that have accommodations for a minimum
amount of people per room. For example, if you select "5 and more" your search results will only include ships that have at least one room
type that would accommodate at least 5 people. The pricing that displays on the search results page will be the per person pricing based on a room for
two people. Proceed further in the online booking process to view the pricing for accommodations for a different occupancy.
Kid-Friendly: Shows cruises that are great choices for those traveling with children and teens. Includes ships
with youth programs and/or youth-friendly public spaces. Programs and public spaces are subject to change, at the discretion of the cruise line.
→ Cruise Only vs Cruise Line Tour
If you check the Cruise Only option, you will only see results that are for a cruise vacation. If you check the Cruise Line Tour option, you will only
see vacations that include a cruise + land tour package (also known as a Cruise Tour). Leave both unchecked to view results that include
both vacation types.

One of Holland America Line's beautiful R Class cruise ships, ms Amsterdam is an elegant mid-sized vessel that offers guests
attentive service, gourmet cuisine, a variety of entertainment options, and fabulous itineraries throughout the world. This vessel, which
was built in Italy, is the third ship to bear the name Amsterdam in Holland America's long history.
Among the many dining options available on this premium cruise ship is the two-story La Fontaine Dining Room, the ship's main dining room
that features a multi-course menu on each night of the cruise. With Holland America Line's As You Wish® dining program, guests are
able to choose (before the cruise) if they'd prefer to dine at La Fontaine in a traditional (assigned) or open dining format. Also on
board ms Amsterdam is the upscale Pinnacle Grill, Canaletto (a casual Italian eatery), as well as the Lido Restaurant (which has
a large buffet that's filled with wonderful international dishes, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner). Also available on all
ms Amsterdam cruises is 24-hour room service, a convenient option that you can enjoy in the comfort and privacy of your suite or
stateroom.
There is a great variety of entertainment venues and things to do on a ms Amsterdam cruise. For instance, Queen's Lounge is the
ship's two-story main show lounge. This venue is home to a live performance on each evening of the cruise. Also on board this ship is a
large casino, swimming pools, whirlpools, shopping arcade, many bars and lounges (such as Crow's Nest), as well as a full-service spa,
beauty salon and fitness center.
Following her next refurbishment, ms Amsterdam will debut a number of Suite enhancements as part of a $300-million brand
initiative. The main living area in each Suite will be refreshed with a new sofa, lounge chairs, carpet, headboard and more to bring a
feeling of contemporary luxury to these accommodations. Electronic upgrades will feature new USB outlets added to the bed headboard, along
with LED bedside lights, and fully interactive television system integrating movies on demand as well as daily programming. Suite
bathrooms will also receive a designer makeover, featuring a new vanity area with new stone tops, modern faucets and under-mount sinks.
Starting in January 2016, guests will also receive additional Suite amenities, which include superior bathrobes and slippers, binoculars
for use during the voyage, an in-suite coffee and espresso machine and more!
